Security Engineer (FedRAMP/GovCloud)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, USA. The role requires U.S. citizenship or U.S. lawful permanent residency and may require in-person onboarding or identity verification.

Salary: $139,000–$249,260 base salary per year.

What you will do

• Coordinate vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and application security testing.
• Conduct product security reviews, threat modeling, secure coding reviews, and application and infrastructure security assessments.
• Perform continuous risk assessments and track remediation actions.
• Review access to critical systems and data while implementing security and privacy requirements.
• Support security incident monitoring, detection, response, and investigation.
• Coordinate business continuity and disaster recovery testing, security awareness, and periodic security communications.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship or U.S. lawful permanent residency required due to government contracting and FedRAMP compliance obligations.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, or privacy.
• Strong experience with security assessments, vulnerability assessment, secure software development, application security, and penetration testing.
• Knowledge of security risks and controls across applications, data, infrastructure, mobile, and enterprise systems, preferably in AWS environments.
• Experience with security incidents, business continuity testing, and standards including SOC 2, FedRAMP, ITAR, ISO 27000, GDPR, or CCPA.
