Consultant, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) (Fintech)

Location: Toronto-81 Bay, 17th Floor, Canada; hybrid work with 1–3 days per week on-site

What you will do

• Design and implement monitoring, telemetry, logging, tracing, and alerting frameworks for complex software systems.
• Manage and optimize automated application deployments and release processes across multiple environments.
• Lead incident response, post-mortem analysis, root cause analysis, and preventive reliability improvements.
• Automate operational workflows and reduce manual toil while improving system reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
• Consult with cross-functional teams on reliability practices, standards, documentation, and operational excellence.
• Coordinate production support readiness, analyze service level indicators and objectives, and maintain risk registries.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in site reliability engineering, application support, or DevOps, with a focus on automation and operational excellence.
• Experience automating deployments, incident response workflows, and operational tasks with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with observability, AIOps, machine learning for anomaly detection, and incident resolution; proficiency with Dynatrace and Splunk.
• Knowledge of application security practices, including authentication, authorization, secrets management, and secure coding.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada and able to work from the specified Toronto location; a valid work or study permit may be required.
