Lead Site Reliability Engineer - Interface & Connectivity (Azure)

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid work with two office days each week

What you will do

• Own the architecture and delivery of secure external and internal connectivity across MQ, FIX, SFTP, PGP, WebAPI, VPN, and NOMA.
• Manage client onboarding, including VPN setup, IP whitelisting, firewall rules, and connectivity validation.
• Design and maintain Azure networking components such as NSGs, ASGs, VNet Peerings, Private Links, and VPN connections.
• Manage certificates, secure communication protocols, firewall administration, observability dashboards, and actionable alerts.
• Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, change management, operational reviews, and technical workshops with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and drive automation, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code adoption using Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, PowerShell, Bash, and Git.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 7–10+ years of operational experience supporting mission-critical production systems, ideally in SaaS or cloud environments.
• Deep expertise in Azure networking, including NSGs, ASGs, VNet Peering, Private Link, and VPN gateways.
• Practical experience with MQ, FIX, SFTP, PGP, WebAPI, certificates, and secure communication protocols such as Stunnel or OMFIX.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, PowerShell, Bash, Git, and observability tools including Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and Grafana.
• English-language application required; hybrid attendance at the Toronto office two days per week.

• Master’s degree.
