Electrician (Instrumentation & Electrical)

Location: Onsite in Ashton, Iowa, United States. The facility operates continuously on a 24/7 schedule, and the role requires after-hours, weekend, and holiday call-in availability when emergencies occur.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems, identify root causes, repair or replace components, and install conduit and wiring.
• Maintain and work with 4160V, 480V, 220V, 110V, and 24V DC systems, motors, breakers, protective relays, transformers, panels, and motor control centers.
• Diagnose PLC/DCS I/O, 4–20 mA loops, and industrial network issues.
• Calibrate, configure, and repair flow, level, pressure, temperature, and pH instruments, including valves and actuators.
• Perform preventive maintenance, support emergency and scheduled shutdowns, document calibration and inventory records, and coordinate with contractors.
• Assist with electrical procedures, Arc Flash Hazard programs, training, safety compliance, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in an electrical training program or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of related work experience and experience with three-phase electrical systems up to 4160V.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical equipment, work practices, electrical codes, and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to read PLC code, schematics, ladder logic, and P&ID process diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, around chemicals and high noise, and in temperatures from -20 to +100 degrees; physical screening and drug testing are required.

Nice to have

• Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
• Experience with industrial networks and Microsoft Office Suite.
