Operations Technician (I&E)

Location: UT Eagle Mountain, United States. Requires rotating shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call duty, occasional travel between locations, and overnight stays.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems, including switchgear, motor controls, control loops, PLCs, and AC/DC systems.
• Maintain and repair process control systems supporting efficient plant operations.
• Identify root causes of equipment issues and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with project teams on scope definition and instrumentation specifications for installations and upgrades.
• Operate and maintain gas turbines, high-speed reciprocating engines, generators, power distribution systems, environmental controls, and distributed control systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and travel between locations.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures, loud areas, confined spaces, and elevated areas while using PPE.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a commitment to safety and operational excellence.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PC applications, plus familiarity with process control systems and PLCs.

Nice to have

• Technician II: 2+ years of related experience, preferably in oil and gas.
• Technician III: 3+ years of technician experience, preferably in oil and gas.
• Senior Technician: 6+ years of experience with similar equipment or facilities; an associate degree is preferred.
