Location: South Burlington, Vermont, United States. The role requires approximately +/- 50% travel to supplier sites, and applicants must be a U.S. person due to export control laws and contractual requirements.
Salary: $95,000–$130,000 USD annually, plus restricted stock units and performance stock units.

What you will do
- Lead development and performance improvement for key composite suppliers supporting production.
- Assess supplier capabilities across layup, curing, bonding, machining, finishing, capacity, and process control.
- Drive resolution of critical quality and delivery issues, including recovery plans and corrective actions.
- Lead root cause analysis for composite defects such as porosity, delamination, and cure variation.
- Conduct supplier audits and process reviews covering special processes and quality system compliance.
- Support supplier readiness for NPI, qualification, FAI, ramp to rate, source qualification, and make/buy decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, industrial technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in supplier development, supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, operations, or supply chain within aerospace, defense, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading supplier recovery, supplier improvement, and cross-functional resolution of complex supply chain issues.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, process validation, supplier risk management, continuous improvement, and root cause methodologies.
- Ability to interpret technical requirements, specifications, and production constraints and use data and KPIs to improve supplier performance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems, plus strong project leadership, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
