Supplier Development Engineer - Mechanical (Aerospace)

Location: Dallas, Texas, United States; on-site. Travel up to 50% is required.

Salary: $110,000–$170,000 per year, plus bonus, benefits, and equity for regular full-time employees.

What you will do

• Audit supplier processes and identify opportunities to improve cost, lead times, and quality.
• Conduct on-site audits and investigate supplier quality and performance issues.
• Assess supplier capabilities and improve alignment with engineering and operational priorities.
• Provide technical guidance on part specifications, manufacturing processes, standards, and quality measures.
• Monitor supplier delivery, quality, and cost metrics and implement corrective action and continuous improvement plans.
• Support new product introductions and mitigate supply-chain risks affecting production and component delivery.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing engineering, or process engineering.
• Experience working with suppliers or production lines and leading root-cause investigations using 8D and 5 Whys.
• Confidently read engineering drawings and apply GD&T.
• Understanding of machining, welding, and forming processes.
• Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA.
• Experience with Excel, data analysis, and PLM or ERP systems.
