AI Engineer (Fusion)

hirify.global is a fast-growing fusion energy startup and the first spin-out from the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics, dedicated to developing the world's first commercial stellarator fusion power plant.

What you will do

• Design and implement sophisticated automation architectures using n8n, LangGraph, and Python.
• Integrate AI workflows with internal data sources and tools like Slack, Google Drive, and project management software.
• Deploy and manage AI-driven microservices on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Cloud Run and Vertex AI.
• Develop agentic workflows leveraging REST APIs, MCP, and multi-modal Generative AI.
• Collaborate with the Enterprise AI Team to translate system designs into functional prototypes.
• Ensure all AI deployments follow infrastructure and coding best practices.

Requirements

• Solid foundation in Python and deep understanding of LLM APIs and prompt engineering.
• Experience with Linux, Docker, and cloud-native environments, ideally GCP.
• Ability to design and interact with clean RESTful APIs.
• High-agency builder mindset with a focus on shipping functional, high-impact prototypes.
• Strong communication skills to bridge the gap between technical AI tools and non-technical stakeholders.
• Thrive in high-paced, ambiguous startup environments.
