Agent Engineer (AI)

hirify.global develops cognitive humanoid robots that perceive, reason, plan over long horizons, and act autonomously in the physical world.

What you will do

• Design and build the agent harness for a humanoid robotics platform, including control loops, tool and skill interfaces, state and memory management, retries, and safety guardrails.
• Develop long-horizon planning and orchestration systems that decompose human intent into multi-step plans, coordinate skills and sub-agents, track execution, recover from errors, and escalate high-risk cases.
• Design real-time conversational AI with STT, LLM, and TTS pipelines, including turn-taking, barge-in handling, and addressee detection.
• Build production backend services, APIs, distributed interfaces, and edge-to-cloud deployments across the robotics ecosystem.
• Establish evaluation and observability systems to measure task completion and industrialize reliable agent prototypes.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams and external partners to deliver end-to-end agentic robotics capabilities.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field, or equivalent depth demonstrated through shipped work.
• Experience building production agent systems that plan, use tools, maintain state, and operate reliably over long horizons.
• Hands-on experience with LangGraph, AgentCore, MCP, or custom orchestration frameworks, with the ability to choose between agents and deterministic workflows.
• Professional backend engineering experience with production services, API design, distributed and microservice architectures, clean code, testing, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with cloud and edge-to-cloud deployments, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and production model and service deployment.
• Strong knowledge of LLMs, VLMs, and NLP; excellent Python and English skills.
