Senior Java Developer (Java)

Location: Cuajimalpa, Mexico

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of professional experience in coding, software design, development, and data analysis.
• Advanced experience with two or more enterprise programming languages or technologies across frontend and backend environments.
• Experience working with APIs, external services, relational databases, and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Linux, Windows, or enterprise operating systems such as z/OS and Tandem/HP-Nonstop.
• Experience with payment application standards and PCI security compliance.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with IBM Rational Tools.
• Experience with technologies such as Java, Python, .NET, Ruby, COBOL, JavaScript, Node, React, Angular, Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, DB2, or Hadoop.

What you will do

• Design, develop, debug, test, implement, and maintain software applications across the development life cycle.
• Develop moderately complex backend and frontend code for internal and external payment technology solutions.
• Create program specifications, application documentation, implementation plans, and development deliverables.
• Analyze complex code, perform unit testing and validation, and recommend corrective measures and systemic improvements.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams, clients, joint ventures, and vendor partners to determine solution approaches.
• Advise leadership on application standards, controls, procedures, monitoring, compliance, and resource estimates; support engineer training.
