IT Platform Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain automated workflows and API integrations across the SaaS ecosystem.
• Develop automation for user lifecycle management, access provisioning, system configuration, data synchronization, reporting, and administrative workflows.
• Administer IAM across hybrid environments using Okta, SCIM, SAML, OAuth, and SSO.
• Administer AWS infrastructure and VMware vSphere/ESXi environments, including migrations, patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, and capacity management.
• Automate security controls and GitLab administration while troubleshooting issues across cloud, SaaS, networking, identity, virtualization, and on-premises infrastructure.
• Partner with People, Finance, Engineering, Operations, and Security to improve processes, reliability, data quality, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional IT experience in platform engineering, systems engineering, infrastructure engineering, applications engineering, DevOps, or IT automation.
• Experience integrating SaaS applications through APIs and automating operational workflows.
• Strong scripting skills with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages.
• Hands-on IAM experience with Okta, SCIM, SAML, OAuth, SSO, and automated user provisioning.
• Experience administering AWS services including IAM, EC2, WorkSpaces, VPC, and directory integrations.
• Experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi, networking, security controls, and troubleshooting across hybrid environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with NetSuite, Atlassian Cloud, GitLab, Google Workspace, Tailscale, HRIS platforms, and their APIs.
• Experience with ETL pipelines, iPaaS workflows, monitoring, alerting, observability, or ITSM platforms.
• Experience with vulnerability management, security monitoring, incident response, SIEM, configuration management, Infrastructure as Code, or CI/CD.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Google Workspace security and DLP, disaster recovery, or mentoring IT team members.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or another regulated engineering environment.
