Engineer I - Quality

What you will do

• Support operations by identifying, analyzing, and resolving product and process quality issues using Six Sigma methodologies.
• Audit manufactured goods against engineering and manufacturing standards and report quality trends to management.
• Perform First Article Inspections for PCB assemblies, prefabricated parts, sheet metal parts, and systems.
• Drive supplier quality activities, including supplier and process audits, supplier evaluations, contract-manufacturer support, product transfers, new product introductions, and change management.
• Participate in NPI meetings and provide input on supplier and manufacturing quality.
• Lead nonconformances, root-cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions in Agile PLM.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 0–2.5 years of quality experience or training, or equivalent qualifications.
• Experience in manufacturing, preferably with printed circuit board design or electronics assemblies.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma and 8D methodologies, root-cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Experience with quality and Lean philosophies, processes, techniques, and methodologies.
• Ability to work independently with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship, permanent U.S. residency, or protected-individual status under U.S. export-control requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with military and space customers, standards, or specifications.
• Knowledge of Minitab SPC.
• Auditing knowledge, including ISO, TL9000, or AS9100.
• Knowledge of GD&T and IPC-610 or J-STD-001.
