Supply Chain Manager – Spacecraft (Aerospace)

Location: hirify.global is headquartered in north Austin, Texas. To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents of the U.S., protected individuals, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of progressive supply chain, subcontracts, or program procurement experience, preferably in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability hardware manufacturing.
• Experience sourcing complex electronics, RF components, or specialized instrumentation.
• Experience negotiating complex supplier contracts, corporate agreements, and statement-of-work modifications.
• Knowledge of ERP software and tools, plus strong Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally, manage multiple projects, travel as required, and solve strategic supply chain problems.

Nice to have

• Odoo ERP/MRP knowledge.
• ITAR, AS9100, and aerospace industry experience.
• Experience in R&D, prototyping, or testing environments.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary supply chain interface for spacecraft program managers, engineers, manufacturing, quality, production, and inventory control.
• Translate development roadmaps and production schedules into material demand plans and maintain material readiness, risk, and Line of Balance metrics.
• Review early-stage BOMs to identify long-lead components, complex RF and electronic instrumentation, and specialized sub-assemblies.
• Execute advanced buys, risk-release strategies, and alternative-component qualification to mitigate supply constraints and single-source risks.
• Lead commercial execution for critical suppliers, including RFPs, SOWs, negotiations, MSAs, pricing structures, and delivery and quality SLAs.
• Evaluate supplier performance, manage corrective actions, support budget and cost-variance analysis, and facilitate supplier business reviews.
