P&C Liability Bodily Injury Adjuster

Location: Fully remote within Florida, United States; occasional travel may be required for client claims meetings, seminars, scene investigations, or inspections.

Salary: $65,000–$75,000 per year.

What you will do

• Adjust third-party bodily injury claims involving general liability, auto liability, errors and omissions, and law enforcement coverage.
• Review new assignments, contact claimants and insureds, gather evidence, obtain statements, and document claim activity.
• Evaluate damages, injury status, liability, attorney involvement, and settlement or denial recommendations.
• Coordinate appraisers, field adjusters, defense counsel, clients, other insurers, and excess carriers.
• Manage summonses, complaints, reservation-of-rights matters, status reports, and excess-carrier notifications.
• Apply No Fault/PIP, Medicare reporting, sovereign immunity, and client-specific claims procedures.

Requirements

• College degree or equivalent experience.
• Active adjuster license and ability to maintain required continuing education credits.
• Experience settling bodily injury claims.
• Strong knowledge of tort law, bad-faith procedures, case law, liability principles, and medical terminology.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, time management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with sensitive and confidential information.
