Business Intelligence Engineer, Senior - Remote

What you will do

• Gather business requirements and translate them into specifications for reports, dashboards, and data stores.
• Build data sources using T-SQL stored procedures, Business Objects Universes, MicroStrategy Cubes, Tableau extracts, and related technologies.
• Develop and support enterprise reports and dashboards using Crystal Reports, Power BI, SSRS, MicroStrategy, Tableau, and approved tools.
• Create test cases, test reports before production deployment, and improve query, report, and data-store performance.
• Define technology best practices and repeatable processes while supporting Agile delivery.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data integration engineers, data architects, and team members; provide training and mentorship.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and four to six years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least five years of experience writing T-SQL stored procedures.
• At least five years of experience with Crystal Reports, SSRS, Power BI, or equivalent reporting tools.
• At least two years of experience with star schema modeling and methodology.
• Understanding of Agile, Scrum, or Kanban; SSIS and ETL best practices; OLTP processing; OLAP databases; tabular models; and enterprise data warehouse schemas.
• Must be comfortable working from a home office in one of the eligible U.S. states and provide reliable high-speed internet access.

Nice to have

• Experience with Business Objects Universe design, MicroStrategy, Tableau, VersionOne, Gherkin, or YAML file creation.
