Program Managers, Deputy Program Managers, Senior Project Managers & Project Managers (CBP)

Location: Ashburn, Virginia; hybrid work required; U.S. citizenship required

Salary: $120,000–$165,000 per year. A $10,000 signing bonus is available for candidates with an active CBP BI, payable after 90 days under standard terms.

What you will do

• Coordinate delivery across network, cloud, cybersecurity, and field deployment teams supporting U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
• Build schedules that account for 24/7 operations, narrow change windows, site access constraints, dependencies, and accreditation milestones.
• Manage customer commitments, status reporting, risks, change control, and delivery expectations.
• Resolve blockers involving approvals, access, equipment, and recurring administrative processes.
• Lead projects or defined program areas according to the assigned level, from Project Manager through Program Manager.
• Travel occasionally as needed and communicate delivery changes, risks, and options to the customer.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Hybrid, on-site posture in Ashburn, Virginia is required.
• Experience delivering technical work in federal programs where change control and accreditation influence delivery.
• Experience coordinating teams without direct management authority and managing customer commitments.
• Experience taking over delayed projects, resolving dependencies, and communicating risks and bad news early.
• An active CBP Background Investigation and EOD are strongly preferred; candidates without them may begin the processing pipeline.

Nice to have

• Active CBP BI, a fitness determination at another DHS component, or an active DoD clearance.
• Infrastructure, cloud, or cybersecurity experience sufficient to challenge technical estimates.
• PMP, agile delivery certification, or equivalent experience.
