Focus on defining interfaces, integrating locomotion, manipulation, perception, autonomy, and embedded systems, and driving verification from prototypes to production-ready robots.

What you will do

  • Translate customer, product, and business needs into structured and traceable system requirements.
  • Contribute to system architecture, define system boundaries and interfaces, and assign responsibilities across robotics software, perception, manipulation, locomotion, controls, embedded systems, electronics, and mechanical engineering.
  • Lead system-level integration and validation for locomotion, manipulation, human-robot interaction, autonomy, and safety functions.
  • Define verification methods, acceptance criteria, validation strategies, and maintain requirements, architecture, interface, and traceability documentation.
  • Analyze system-level performance, coordinate root-cause investigations, and drive resolution of cross-functional issues from prototypes through production deployment.

Requirements

  • MSc or PhD in Robotics, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience developing complex robotic systems or other safety-related autonomous systems in multidisciplinary environments.
  • Experience with requirements management, system architecture tools, model-based systems engineering, system integration, and lifecycle processes.
  • Knowledge of robotics software frameworks and middleware, such as ROS or ROS2, and a solid understanding of mechatronic components, sensors, robotic hardware architecture, and robotics software.
  • Experience with functional safety, cybersecurity, and relevant robotics or mechatronics certification standards, including ISO 13849, ISO 10218, ISO 26262, or ISO/SAE 21434.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in cross-functional teams; experience in agile or scaled development environments.
