Business Analyst (EdTech)

Location: Manchester, United Kingdom; hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office

Salary: £47,000–£53,000 per year

What you will do

• Gather, analyse and document business requirements with stakeholders and technical teams.
• Translate business needs into user stories, specifications, statements of work, process maps and other delivery artefacts.
• Support the design, development and implementation of maintainable and scalable technology solutions for the assessment lifecycle.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing by defining acceptance criteria, preparing test scripts and supporting issue resolution.
• Manage risks, dependencies, backlog priorities, estimates and iteration planning across projects and change initiatives.
• Mentor analysts, promote business analysis best practices and support exam series delivery during the critical summer period.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Business Analyst in complex technology or business transformation environments.
• Experience with requirements management, business process analysis, process modelling, solution design and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of at least one SDLC methodology, including Agile, Waterfall or iterative delivery.
• Knowledge of data modelling, including Entity Relationship Modelling, plus experience with database tools and querying or creating test databases.
• Experience supporting unit, system and User Acceptance Testing, managing risks and issues, and producing high-quality documentation.
• Strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder management and workshop leadership skills, with experience using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence or similar.
