RF Team Lead (Satellite Communications)

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of RF and antenna engineers.
• Define team objectives aligned with product and R&D roadmaps.
• Oversee the design, simulation, testing, characterization, and validation of RF subsystems and antennas.
• Coordinate RF development activities across multiple projects and manage priorities and resources.
• Collaborate with systems, mechanical, hardware, manufacturing, vendors, external partners, and laboratories.
• Drive root-cause analysis, design reviews, process improvement, documentation, and delivery from prototype to production.

Requirements

• Strong leadership, people management, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Technical expertise in RF and microwave design, including Ku, Ka, X, C, and S bands.
• Experience with EDA design tools such as HFSS, CST, and ADS.
• Experience with RF testing, measurement, validation, and interdisciplinary engineering collaboration.
• Swiss or EU citizenship, or a valid Swiss work permit.

Nice to have

• Experience working with vendors and procurement processes.
• Design-for-manufacturability and industrialization experience.
• Background in satellite communication systems.
• Experience with Altium Designer or equivalent software.
• Exposure to mass production and industrialization of RF products.
