Product Counsel

Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid); occasional domestic and international travel of up to 25%

What you will do

• Advise Product and Technology leaders throughout the product lifecycle, from strategy and prioritization through launch.
• Build strong partnerships with product, technology, and legal, compliance, sustainability, and policy specialists.
• Translate product strategy and roadmap decisions into clear updates for relevant legal and corporate teams.
• Monitor emerging regulations, industry developments, and technology trends to identify product roadmap implications.
• Turn complex legal and regulatory requirements into practical, scalable business guidance.
• Help align product positioning, marketing claims, commitments, and contractual obligations.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor or barrister in Ireland, or equivalently qualified in another recognised jurisdiction.
• 8–12 years of relevant legal experience, including significant in-house experience at a technology, SaaS, or engineering/infrastructure software company.
• Experience advising global software products in privacy, data governance, intellectual property, AI governance, cybersecurity, product compliance, cloud services, SaaS, APIs, or software licensing.
• Strong understanding of modern software development lifecycles and systems thinking.
• Ability to influence senior executives and cross-functional teams in complex matrixed organizations without direct authority.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, with strong business judgment.

Nice to have

• Experience in engineering, construction, infrastructure, AEC, industrial, utilities, or public infrastructure industries.
• Experience as Product Counsel, Technology Counsel, Privacy Counsel, Commercial Counsel, or in a similar technology legal role.
• Experience supporting AI-enabled products, developer platforms, digital twins, cloud services, or enterprise SaaS.
• Experience in a US-headquartered publicly traded company.
