Senior Legal Counsel

What you will do

• Advise executives on legal risks, disclosure obligations, regulatory changes, and compliance matters.
• Draft and maintain corporate policies aligned with international legal requirements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate international commercial agreements, licensing deals, and vendor contracts.
• Oversee corporate governance, statutory filings, and legal health of international subsidiaries.
• Design and oversee a global corporate compliance programme covering anti-corruption, trade compliance, sanctions, and export controls.
• Lead audits, investigations, compliance training, data privacy initiatives, and regulatory dispute management.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of post-qualification legal experience, including preferably 3 or more years in an in-house role.
• Expertise in international corporate law, global compliance, cross-border transactions, and regulatory matters across EMEA, APAC, and North America.
• Deep knowledge of international trade, anti-bribery regulations, sanctions, export controls, and data privacy frameworks including GDPR and PDPA.
• Strong negotiation, drafting, communication, risk mitigation, and business advisory skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across a global organization and communicate effectively across cultures.
