Senior Software Engineer, Frontend / Fullstack (Ecommerce)

Location: Remote for candidates based in California, Maine, Pennsylvania, Nevada, North Carolina, Texas, Colorado, Washington, Illinois, New York, Missouri, and Massachusetts

Salary: $180,000–$215,000 annual base salary, plus annual incentive target and equity

What you will do

• Lead frontend and fullstack initiatives from ambiguous problem statements through architecture, delivery, and measurement.
• Partner with product managers, designers, UX, analytics specialists, and other engineers to shape customer experiences and technical approaches.
• Own performance, stability, accessibility, maintainability, testing, documentation, and engineering workflows.
• Integrate mobile apps, subscription services, analytics, search and discovery, loyalty, APIs, data models, and other third-party systems.
• Define and scale the design system and UI component library.
• Use AI tooling in daily development while reviewing generated work for correctness, architecture, and quality.

Requirements

• 7+ years building and operating production web applications, with frontend as the strongest area.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, a modern component framework such as React, Vue, or Svelte, state management, and performance optimization.
• Comfort working across APIs, data models, integrations, CI, browser behavior, and infrastructure.
• Experience leading projects from vague requirements to shipped outcomes and making architectural decisions.
• Strong collaboration, written communication, product thinking, design awareness, accessibility, and user empathy.
• Must be based in one of the listed U.S. states for this remote position.

Nice to have

• Shopify experience, including Liquid, Online Store 2.0, Storefront and Cart APIs, or Checkout Extensions.
• Experience with high-SKU ecommerce, high-velocity traffic, or subscription commerce.
• GraphQL, Alpine, component testing, Vitest, Jest, Cypress, Playwright, GitHub Actions, A/B testing, or experimentation platforms.
