Senior Database Developer (MongoDB/AWS)

What you will do

• Design and implement high-performance MongoDB solutions for complex workloads.
• Manage and optimize AWS RDS MySQL and Aurora environments for performance, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Support database deployments and orchestration in EKS and Kubernetes environments.
• Partner with development teams on data models, indexing strategies, query optimization, and schema versioning.
• Monitor database health and performance using native tooling, AWS CloudWatch, and Datadog.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and strengthen data integrity, security, compliance, disaster recovery, migrations, and platform reliability.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in MongoDB architecture, development, optimization, and operations.
• Experience developing and administering MySQL databases in AWS RDS and Aurora environments.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and familiarity with Kubernetes, especially EKS.
• Experience with GitHub-based version control, CI/CD workflows, and database deployment processes.
• Strong database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and query optimization skills.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices, database security, disaster recovery, and data migration.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines for database changes.
• Familiarity with monitoring, automation, container orchestration, or additional AWS services.
