Housing Officers x 2 (Maternity Cover)

Location: Romford, United Kingdom; office-based 5 days per week. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work are required.

Salary: £39,276–£42,771 per year. Full-time, 36 hours per week. Maternity cover for 12 months.

What you will do

• Manage a varied caseload of tenancy and leasehold matters across a designated patch.
• Deliver tenancy management, sustainment, and enforcement services.
• Investigate anti-social behaviour and nuisance cases, taking appropriate action.
• Conduct estate inspections and property visits, identifying issues and maintaining safe communities.
• Serve notices, prepare court cases, and maintain accurate records in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Support vulnerable residents through safeguarding referrals and collaborate with internal departments and external agencies.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in social housing or equivalent transferable experience.
• Experience in housing and tenancy management, including anti-social behaviour and tenancy enforcement cases.
• Knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy and leasehold management, and social housing best practice.
• Understanding of safeguarding, welfare support, and multi-agency working.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently across a designated patch.
• Full UK driving licence and a vehicle available for work; office attendance 5 days per week is required.

• Degree or housing qualification such as CIH.
