Lab Technician I (HVAC)

Location: Tyler, Texas; on-site five days per week

Annual base salary: $33,400–$48,125 USD

What you will do

• Plan, set up, and execute HVAC product testing according to approved test plans.
• Follow standard work instructions under supervision and support testing and laboratory activities.
• Collect, interpret, and validate test data with appropriate detail.
• Provide input during test planning and design feedback after testing.
• Apply basic problem-solving while developing technical knowledge of products and processes.
• Follow environmental, health, and safety procedures and maintain a clean laboratory environment.

Requirements

• Two-year HVAC associate degree preferred.
• Alternatively, a one-year HVAC certificate or another associate degree plus at least three years of HVAC service and installation experience.
• Basic electrical and refrigeration skills.
• Basic brazing and soldering skills.
• Basic Microsoft application skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and flexibility to work in multiple areas.
