Applications Engineer, Autonomy (open level) - Remote

Location: Remote / United States; hybrid workplace with approximately 50% travel, including international and multi-week customer onsite engagements

What you will do

• Deploy with customers globally to support software integration and development activities.
• Become an expert user of the Hivemind enterprise software stack and autonomy modules.
• Develop AI and autonomy applications using the enterprise software development kit.
• Provide technical support and training, and debug software and API integration issues.
• Support pre-sales activities such as demos, conferences, and customer immersions.
• Collaborate with product engineering teams to address customer feedback and improve products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience, including 2+ years in integration or applications engineering.
• 2+ years of experience working in a startup environment.
• Strong software engineering background and strong proficiency in modern C++.
• Intermediate proficiency in Python, with experience programming in C, C++, or Rust.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in defense aviation or robotics.
• Experience building and running a small enterprise software or solutions engineering team.
• Advanced technical degree in robotics, autonomy, or a related field.
