VP, Finance & Operations (AI)

Location: Hybrid in the Denver/Greenwood Village office three days per week, Tuesday through Thursday

Salary: $186,000–$263,000 annual base salary for the Denver Area

What you will do

• Advise the President and executive leadership team on operational strategy, business growth, planning, and resource allocation.
• Lead finance and accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, internal controls, treasury, audit coordination, and financial risk management.
• Oversee Royalty Services across royalty collection, distribution, invoicing, reporting, customer support, and scalable process design.
• Provide executive oversight of IT, business systems, data integrity, security-aligned practices, and technology-enabled operations.
• Develop an AI and automation roadmap with practical guardrails, adoption standards, training expectations, and change management.
• Build management capability, succession plans, accountability, and operating mechanisms across Finance, Accounting, Royalty Services, Tax, and Business Operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience across finance, accounting, operations, IT, royalty services, shared services, or similarly complex functions.
• Experience leading teams through other leaders in a multi-layered organization and developing functional managers.
• Strong financial acumen, business judgment, strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting skills.
• Experience leading operational scaling, process improvement, transformation, systems modernization, or technology-enabled operations.
• Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, influencing, and change leadership skills.

Nice to have

• MBA, CPA, or an equivalent advanced degree or financial certification.
• Experience in licensing, intellectual property, technology, media, software, financial services, or professional services.
• Experience implementing automation, digital transformation, or AI-enabled tools.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or operational excellence training or certification.
