Manager, Engineering - Software Integration (R5237)

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop engineers focused on software integration, system validation, and developer experience.
• Set team priorities, drive execution, and maintain technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Integrate, validate, and debug the Hivemind autonomy stack across Software-in-the-Loop, Hardware-in-the-Loop, and flight environments.
• Guide integration frameworks, deployment workflows, and configuration management tools.
• Analyze system logs, telemetry, and rosbag data to diagnose integration defects and accelerate issue resolution.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Program teams to evaluate capabilities and ensure requirements and interface specifications are met.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, or 6 years with a master's degree, or 4 years with a PhD.
• Proficiency in Python or C++.
• Experience with autonomous systems or middleware.
• Experience designing integration workflows, communicating system dependencies, and triaging integration defects across subsystem boundaries.
• Experience leading software integration engineers and owning integration roadmaps and release schedules.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building complex systems and applying software architecture and design principles.
• Experience with hardware or embedded systems.
• Expert Python knowledge and experience with ROS.
• Experience with white-box testing, networking, operating systems, or radio communications.
• Experience supporting customer applications.
