Systems/Software Engineering Manager (Robotics)

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team across firmware, software, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Provide technical direction on firmware, software, and hardware designs, and guide system architecture decisions.
• Own engineering execution from concept through deployment, including priorities, timelines, milestones, and delivery.
• Oversee system integration, testing, and validation against performance, safety, and reliability requirements.
• Collaborate with product, operations, leadership, and customer-facing stakeholders.
• Establish engineering processes, design reviews, and documentation standards.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional engineering experience, including at least 2+ years in engineering leadership or management.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems, robotics, autonomous systems, or defense-related technologies.
• Experience leading teams, managing performance, and developing engineers at different career stages.
• Experience overseeing multidisciplinary systems involving software, firmware, electronics, and mechanical components.
• Strong project execution, communication, and technical risk management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in defense systems, robotics, autonomous platforms, or safety-critical environments.
• Senior- or staff-level experience in embedded, firmware, or robotics engineering.
• Experience building or scaling engineering teams in a fast-paced startup.
• Experience integrating sensors, actuators, control systems, and real-time software.
