Manufacturing Operator - Fri-Sun; 12 hours nights 6pm - 6:30am

Location: Bedford, Massachusetts, United States. On-site work on a Friday–Sunday schedule, with 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

Salary: $24–$26 per hour, commensurate with experience.

What you will do

• Operate assembly equipment, second-operation machines, vacuum furnaces, cutting and cleaning equipment, and other production-line tools.
• Process raw metal powders into targeted product forms and inspect, measure, test, trim, assemble, label, and package membrane products.
• Perform equipment setup and adjustments according to work instructions, process records, and work orders.
• Verify product quality, identify deviations, take corrective action, and escalate quality issues when needed.
• Complete production reports, labels, component sheets, rework sheets, hour-by-hour records, and SAP transactions.
• Support inventory counts, takt-rate targets, workplace safety, and continuous improvement activities such as 6S and Kaizen.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to understand documented processes and procedures, perform basic math, and complete computer data entry using Excel and other programs.
• Ability to use measuring devices and hand tools, including scales and calipers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk throughout the shift, climb a ladder up to 4 feet, and perform repetitive physical movements.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing cleanroom environment with required protective equipment and exposure to metal powders, isopropyl alcohol, deionized water, moving machinery, and moderate to high noise levels.

Nice to have

• One year of manufacturing experience.
• Experience with production equipment, inspection processes, SAP, or inventory cycle counts.
