Senior Engineer, Equipment Engineering

Location: Kaohsiung City, Taiwan; on-site work supporting a manufacturing facility

hirify.global is investing in a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Taiwan.

What you will do

• Acquire and deploy custom equipment for new product introductions, covering specification development, vendor selection, design, procurement, validation, and commissioning.
• Coordinate with Facilities and EHS, Procurement, R&D, Maintenance and Reliability, Controls Engineering, and Operations throughout development, commissioning, and qualification.
• Develop project plans and report progress while managing schedule, budget, and quality constraints.
• Design equipment and subcomponents with CAD, and develop or source fixtures for different form factors and process flows.
• Define preventive maintenance programs, spare-parts inventories, equipment layouts, and manufacturing-cell integration.
• Support troubleshooting, failure analysis, SPC, quality improvement, and yield improvement after high-volume manufacturing begins.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in a production environment.
• Experience with project management, mechanical design and development, and equipment or process monitoring using SPC.
• Knowledge of PDCA, risk analysis, FMEA, DFM, DfMR, HAZOP, and DMAIC.
• Familiarity with CAPEX and CEA submission processes, Microsoft applications, and technical reporting and documentation.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to guide and support teammates.

Nice to have

• Experience with components manufacturing and assembly or cleaning equipment.
• Experience with technical drawings and CAD or modeling tools.
