Quality Specialist III (CMM Programming) (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite at the Production and Test facility in Briggs, Texas, north of Cedar Park. Applicants must meet U.S. Government ITAR eligibility requirements.

What you will do

• Develop and execute detailed Zeiss Calypso inspection programs for aerospace hardware.
• Inspect launch vehicle and spacecraft components and sub-assemblies using Zeiss CMM and advanced metrology equipment.
• Maintain tool control, calibration, and validation processes for metrology systems.
• Support technical operations and provide quality guidance as an additional technical resource.
• Improve product quality and inspection efficiency while supporting manufacturing compliance.
• Apply 5S workplace organization and Lean initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in aerospace, military, or manufacturing environments.
• Zeiss Calypso software programming experience.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, GD&T, technical instructions, and quality documentation.
• Experience with aerospace quality, military, or government standards.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the authorizations required under ITAR.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or higher in quality, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with PC-DMIS or Inspire.
• ASME Y14.5 Professional or Technologist certification.
• Experience applying aerospace quality assurance principles, inspection techniques, and quality-control equipment.
• Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9001 standards.
