Threat Hunter / Security Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Location: Seattle, WA; on-site in the office. Relocation expenses are covered.

Salary: $100,000–$180,000 per year, depending on geographic market, knowledge, skills, and experience.

hirify.global is an early-stage cybersecurity startup protecting industrial and Operational Technology systems from cyber attacks by criminals and nation-states.

What you will do

• Develop detection strategies and maintain comprehensive threat coverage across hundreds of telemetry sources.
• Conduct proactive and adversary-focused threat hunting, especially in public cloud environments.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and abnormal activity.
• Own assigned customer accounts, answer threat intelligence and threat hunting questions, and support customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to automation, tooling, documentation, and scalable hunting methodologies.
• Prepare monthly reports covering findings and high-level remediation recommendations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in incident response, security operations, threat hunting, or cyber threat intelligence.
• Fluency in Python and familiarity with query languages, including the ability to contribute to detections.
• Experience monitoring and analyzing application, infrastructure, and endpoint telemetry.
• In-depth knowledge of security tools, techniques, methodologies, attack vectors, vulnerabilities, and common security weaknesses.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and reporting skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Must meet US ITAR eligibility requirements: US citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the required US Department of State authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience hunting targeted threats involving advanced persistent threats, organized crime, or hacktivists.
• Knowledge of cyber threat intelligence terminology and data communication technologies.
• Startup experience and experience working on zero-to-one initiatives.
• Experience in industrial, operational, or fulfillment environments.
• CISSP, CEH, GCIH, or another relevant certification.
