Mechanical Technician

Location: San Luis Obispo, California, United States; onsite

Salary: $23–$25 per hour, depending on overall skills and experience.

What you will do

• Assemble mechanical, electrical, and piping sub-assemblies and systems using drawings, schematics, P&IDs, illustrations, and process documentation.
• Build products to customer data sheets and engineering specifications under supervision.
• Install brackets, piping insulation, and sub-assemblies during cabinet preparation.
• Assist with routing cables and conduit on Ultra High Purity Systems.
• Use measuring techniques and tools correctly while maintaining product quality and accuracy.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and support on-time shipments and 6S responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 0–2 years of mechanical assembly or relevant experience.
• Ability to navigate an operating system to find bills of materials, drawings, and instructions.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds daily, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail, dependability, and ability to work safely in a fast-paced team environment.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when required by business needs.
