Project Engineer (Phased Array)

Location: Onsite in Tempe, Arizona, United States

Salary: $141,500–$224,000 annually. For specific locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $176,000–$264,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams through the development, integration, verification, qualification, and production release of phased array products.
• Drive requirements development, system architecture trades, design reviews, technical planning, and decision-making.
• Coordinate systems, RF, antenna, digital, FPGA, software, mechanical, manufacturing, supply chain, and test engineering activities.
• Manage technical risks, schedules, issues, mitigation strategies, and product performance objectives.
• Support subsystem and system-level integration, lab validation, field testing, customer demonstrations, and transition to production.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, development partners, program management, and engineering leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of engineering experience in phased arrays, radar, SATCOM, RF systems, aerospace, defense, or related technology development.
• Experience developing phased array or electronically steered antenna systems for SATCOM and/or radar applications.
• Experience leading complex product development from concept through qualification and production, including systems engineering, requirements, verification, validation, and risk management.
• Strong understanding of RF systems, antenna systems, digital beamforming, and communication systems, plus excellent communication and analytical skills.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret/SCI clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with AESA technologies, SATCOM terminals, radar systems, or advanced RF sensors.
• Knowledge of phased array calibration, beamforming, RF characterization, environmental testing, and qualification testing.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and experience transitioning advanced technology products into production.
