Maintenance Technician (CNC)

What you will do

• Install, relocate, upgrade, maintain, and repair CNC equipment, including EDM, wire saws, laser engraving systems, robot loaders, and machine tools.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical machine-tool problems and lead repairs through completion.
• Measure axis alignment with Renishaw Ball Bar equipment and perform precise mechanical and electrical adjustments.
• Program PLC ladder logic, keeper bits, communication protocols, and PMC backups for Fanuc and Mazatrol machinery.
• Teach and repair Yaskawa, Fanuc, and other robotic gantry loaders while troubleshooting electrical components, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
• Lead capital projects and FMEAs, coordinate OEM preventive maintenance and repairs, manage parts, and track maintenance metrics and machine downtime.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of machine-tool maintenance experience.
• Mechanical knowledge of ball screws, worm gears, transmissions, Gib and Way Scraping, and Turcite installation.
• Electrical knowledge of safety circuits, timers, servos, HMIs, contactors, switches, relays, and controllers.
• Experience with industrial equipment such as blowers, vacuum pumps, augers, gas furnaces, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders, lift up to 50 lb, use required PPE in compliance with NFPA 70E, and work in outdoor, dusty, dirty, or clean-room environments.
• Must be able to comply with federally mandated U.S. export control requirements.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Fadal, Haas, Mitsubishi, Hardinge, Okamoto, or Chevalier equipment.
• Experience operating engine hoists, cranes, forklifts, scissor lifts, articulated booms, and front-end loaders.
• Experience with precision alignments, welding, custom lathe and mill fabrication, and equipment modifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft products for SOPs, inventory, OEE, machine history, expenditures, and MTBF documentation.
