Principle Engineer - Architecture (m/w/d)

What you will do

• Define architecture concepts and specifications for new silicon and system products based on customer requirements and use cases.
• Develop networking and connectivity solutions incorporating Ethernet, USB, and PCI Express interfaces.
• Design functional safety and cybersecurity concepts and perform related analyses with subject matter experts.
• Coordinate global cross-functional teams across the full product development lifecycle.
• Develop reference designs, evaluation hardware, technical documentation, and companion chipset vendor lists.
• Support pre-production customer engagements and deliver technical training for customers, sales teams, and field application engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
• At least 8 years of relevant industry experience in silicon architecture, system architecture, applications engineering, or systems engineering.
• Experience in at least two areas: digital IC design, mixed-signal or analog IC design, hardware design, or firmware/software development.
• Experience working with globally distributed engineering teams.
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to produce high-quality engineering documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with embedded systems requirements, Ethernet, USB, PCI Express, embedded programming, Linux, Zephyr, or bare-metal environments.
• Experience with C/C++, Rust, Python, LabVIEW, PCB CAD tools, and laboratory equipment.
• Knowledge of functional safety standards such as ISO 26262 and quality management processes.
• Customer-facing experience in support, field applications engineering, or technical training.
