Senior System Architect for ECU Designs (Automotive): Defining system architecture and verification strategies for advanced automotive ECUs integrated into next-generation vehicles with an accent on requirements traceability, design verification, and cross-functional technical alignment. Focus on specifying verification environments, managing high-risk features, and ensuring compliance with ASPICE requirements across hardware, embedded software, validation teams, suppliers, and OEMs.

develops autonomous driving systems and advanced automotive ECUs for next-generation vehicle functions in collaboration with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
What you will do
- Define ECU system requirements and architecture aligned with customer needs and hardware and software products.
- Develop the verification concept, traceability approach, verification environments, and evidence required to demonstrate design correctness, safety, and performance.
- Engage with customers to analyze requirements and negotiate solutions for their technical needs.
- Lead technical alignment across hardware, embedded software, system architecture, validation teams, suppliers, and product management.
- Coordinate engineering scopes and product release dependencies with project managers.
- Identify verification gaps and high-risk features, define mitigation plans, and drive their execution.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science; an M.Sc. is an advantage.
- 5+ years of experience in system architecture and strong knowledge of writing embedded system and software requirements.
- Strong understanding of ECU architecture, including MCUs/SoCs, memory, power, CAN/CAN FD, Automotive Ethernet, UDS diagnostics, boot flows, and update flows.
- Experience supporting OEM and Tier 1 technical reviews, assessments, and audits with structured evidence packages.
- Ability to lead cross-functional technical alignment and stakeholder management without formal authority.
- Familiarity with customer requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, validation, and traceability.
Nice to have
- Experience with AUTOSAR Classic or Adaptive and related tooling and ecosystems.
- Experience with DOORS, Polarion, or similar requirements and traceability tools.
- Knowledge of structured review processes, ASPICE, and ISO 26262.
