Systems Architect (Robotics)

What you will do

• Define and own end-to-end system architectures for diverse robotic platforms.
• Translate customer and product requirements into structured, traceable architecture models and documentation.
• Design scalable platforms with variation points and product-line reuse to support portfolio-wide innovation.
• Align and integrate software, hardware, AI/ML, and mechatronics domains.
• Support architectural decisions, technology choices, and integration strategies across engineering teams.
• Identify and mitigate system-level risks, dependencies, and integration challenges.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Systems Engineering, Robotics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience designing safety-related systems in complex, multidisciplinary engineering environments.
• Proficiency with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Jama, or Polarion.
• Experience with SysML, MBSE, or Rhapsody, including requirements flow-down and system traceability.
• Knowledge of functional safety, cybersecurity, and certification standards including ISO 13849, ISO 10218, ISO 26262, and ISO/SAE 21434.
• Ability to coordinate architecture and technology choices across multiple teams and support supplier or partnership integration.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with industrial robots, AMRs, humanoid robots, or complex autonomous systems such as autonomous driving.
