TL;DR

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; based in a US office

Base pay: $100,000–$150,000 USD annually

hirify.global is an end-to-end space company developing rockets, spacecraft, propulsion systems, and other critical subsystems for civil, commercial, and defense missions.

What you will do

  • Own the system-level and component-level development of spacecraft propulsion and fluidic products.
  • Lead conceptual and detailed CAD designs, performance calculations, and engineering analysis.
  • Plan, instrument, execute, and analyze propulsion tests and troubleshoot flight hardware.
  • Review and approve drawings, 3D PMI, reports, specifications, qualification documentation, and flight-part releases.
  • Manage development schedules, priorities, task assignments, technical risks, and stakeholder communications.
  • Mentor engineers and technicians and contribute to engineering processes, documentation, training, and reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience in propulsion system development or another high-performance engineering field.
  • US citizenship is required due to program requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and satisfy applicable US ITAR/export-control requirements.
  • Ability to work in a production environment involving prolonged sitting, standing, walking, computer work, and occasional moderate noise, dust, and fumes.

Nice to have

  • Mechanical design experience with NX or equivalent CAD, plus Teamcenter, Windchill, or similar PLM software.
  • Experience with electrical or chemical storable-propellant systems, propulsion testing, National Instruments equipment, and data acquisition systems.
  • Experience with requirements and verification sets, test plans and reports, qualification, production, acceptance testing, GD&T, and engineering drawings.
  • Python experience for data manipulation and post-processing.
  • Master’s or PhD in engineering and demonstrated hands-on integration, testing, and troubleshooting experience.
