Salary: $104,000–$156,000 USD per year

What you will do

  • Own the layout and packaging of Aeon-R engines across development, qualification, acceptance, first-stage, and upper-stage configurations.
  • Design and analyze final integration hardware, including secondary structures, fluid manifolds, tubing, and custom fittings.
  • Lead conceptual layouts for new and upgraded engine configurations.
  • Own and release top-level CAD models, track engine mass projections, and manage the Interface Control Diagram.
  • Drive configuration and change management in collaboration with propulsion, vehicle, and test-stand partners.
  • Partner with Engine Integration engineers to build and ship engines at increasing rates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, technology, mathematics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in fluid systems design and/or structural design.
  • Experience applying fluid, thermal, structural, and mechanical design fundamentals.
  • Experience with computer-aided design software.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and the ability to deliver on ambitious schedules.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of combustion devices, turbomachinery, valves, and engine integration hardware.
  • Experience designing liquid propulsion components and systems.
  • Experience managing large CAD models, configuration management, and change management.
  • Experience with Siemens NX, Teamcenter, or ANSYS Workbench.
  • Familiarity with aerospace standards such as AS, NAS, and SAE.
