Location: Long Beach, California, United States; based at 's headquarters and working in office and technical environments.
Base salary: $132,000β$198,000 USD per year, plus company stock as part of total compensation.

What you will do
- Define, process, and interpret static and dynamic ground-test and flight data, including sensor selection, data acquisition, validation, and environmental determination.
- Perform and document structural analyses of primary and secondary spacecraft structures, including finite element model verification, material selection, trade studies, and mass optimization.
- Run static, modal, random vibration, buckling, and thermoelastic structural and dynamic simulations.
- Work with design and test engineers to iterate designs, define test requirements, and demonstrate positive structural margins.
- Design and directly support spacecraft subsystem and component structural test campaigns.
- Lead technical projects and introduce new analysis tools, theory, and best practices across engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or another engineering discipline.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements.
- 8+ years of engineering experience in the aerospace industry.
- Experience with NX Nastran, NX CAD, and Teamcenter.
- Experience designing, executing, processing, and validating spacecraft-level structural test campaigns.
Nice to have
- Master's or PhD in mechanical engineering or another engineering discipline.
- Experience with complete satellite development cycles from concept through launch.
- Experience analyzing additively manufactured parts and composite structures.
- Experience with sensor selection and post-processing data from accelerometers, strain gauges, and thermocouples.
- Familiarity with nonlinear material simulation for metal plasticity, elastomers, and adhesive joints.
