Accounting Manager, Hedge Funds (East Coast Region)

Location: Hybrid in New York City, Union, NJ, or Boston, MA

Salary: $78,000–$165,000 USD annual base salary, depending on location and qualifications; discretionary bonus and/or equity awards may also be available.

What you will do

• Lead daily workflow, priorities, and deliverables for the U.S. client service fund accounting team.
• Coach, mentor, train, and manage the performance of accounting professionals.
• Review and approve P&L reporting, NAV calculations, pricing, economic allocations, financial statements, and partner capital statements.
• Act as the primary client contact and provide technical accounting guidance.
• Plan and execute client onboardings, fund launches, reorganizations, and platform conversions.
• Resolve complex operational issues, coordinate external audits, and support process and system improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 6+ years of fund accounting experience with a hedge fund administrator and 3+ years of leadership or people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and hedge fund accounting principles.
• Experience with financial statements, audit support, investor allocations, corporate actions, and a broad range of financial instruments.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in New York City, Union, NJ, or Boston, MA.
