What you will do

• Support EDA compute clusters for simulation, physical verification, OPC, lithography, signoff, and tapeout workloads.
• Operate, optimize, and troubleshoot IBM LSF and other batch scheduling environments.
• Analyze job failures, queue bottlenecks, license constraints, compute node issues, and workload performance problems.
• Own hybrid EDA HPC platforms across on-premises infrastructure and AWS.
• Support high-performance storage services including NFS, NetApp ONTAP, AWS FSx, and S3.
• Develop automation, observability, reliability improvements, and incident-resolution processes for EDA services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of relevant experience for MTS or 10+ years for Senior MTS in EDA computing, HPC, Linux infrastructure, storage, cloud, or production engineering support.
• Strong experience with EDA computing, HPC, or large-scale Linux production environments.
• Hands-on experience with batch schedulers, preferably IBM LSF, and strong Linux administration skills on RHEL-based platforms.
• Bash scripting ability and experience analyzing complex incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing sustainable solutions.
• Fluency in written and verbal English is required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related technical field.
• Experience with semiconductor design and tapeout flows and EDA applications such as Calibre, ASML Brion, Cadence, or Synopsys.
• AWS or other cloud experience for HPC workloads, plus NetApp ONTAP, NFS, FSx, S3, or high-performance storage experience.
• Python automation, monitoring, logging, dashboarding, capacity reporting, and operational analytics experience.
• Project management, communication, planning, and organizational skills.
