High Performance Compute (HPC) Storage Engineer

Salary: $150,000–$250,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses and benefits

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and manage storage solutions for a large-scale HPC research environment.
• Troubleshoot complex storage, operating system, and networking issues.
• Build tools to improve storage cluster performance and monitoring.
• Research, test, and propose new storage hardware and software.
• Help define the direction of future HPC storage solutions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in HPC-like environments with storage deployments exceeding 1 PB.
• 3+ years of experience with scale-out enterprise storage solutions such as Isilon, VAST, NetApp, or Pure.
• Knowledge of distributed filesystems such as Lustre, CephFS, or GPFS.
• Experience designing redundant, highly available NAS solutions.
• Extensive Linux troubleshooting and NFS experience, with strong knowledge of Linux filesystems and ZFS.
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting, plus strong problem-solving and communication skills.
