Systems Administrator (HPC)

Location: 308 Sentinel Drive, Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States; onsite data center and warehouse work

Salary: $150,000–$175,000 per year

What you will do

• Install, configure, maintain, and lifecycle-manage NVIDIA H100, H200, and B300 high-performance compute platforms.
• Lead hardware installation, sustainment, removal, and relocation within a government data warehouse while preserving configuration integrity.
• Create technical documentation, network diagrams, SOPs, and scalable deployment playbooks.
• Coordinate with onsite data center administrators and contract engineering teams to troubleshoot systems and improve operational efficiency.
• Support virtualization initiatives and contribute to IT modernization involving AWS, cloud environments, and LLM infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, information systems, computer engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 9 years of relevant IT or systems administration experience.
• Strong Linux systems administration experience in operational, mission-critical environments.
• Direct experience with enterprise GPU-accelerated or high-performance compute systems, specifically NVIDIA hardware.
• Experience with physical data center or warehouse deployments, hypervisors, virtualization, and networked system troubleshooting.
• U.S. citizenship is required; the role involves ITAR/EAR-controlled information and verification of U.S. person status.

Nice to have

• Interest in cloud architectures, AWS, and AI/LLM infrastructure.
• Experience with process automation, mentorship, and building institutional knowledge.
