High Performance Compute Linux System Administrator (HPC/Linux)

Location: On-site at a customer location in Vicksburg, Mississippi, five days a week, with additional on-call work.

Salary: USD 105,500–243,000 annual base salary in Mississippi; variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Monitor and maintain the health, availability, and performance of HPC compute, network, and storage systems.
• Review, resolve, and respond to client tickets while creating, monitoring, and closing support cases.
• Plan and complete monthly system patching and six-month kernel upgrades.
• Maintain the client-required security posture and availability reports for SLA tracking.
• Assist with application installations, new-system installations, hardware troubleshooting, repairs, and parts tracking.
• Participate in a 365-day, 24x7 on-call support schedule, including some weekend work.

Requirements

• At least five years of Linux system administration experience; eight or more years may substitute for a degree.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• CompTIA Security+ and CompTIA Linux+ certifications are required.
• Active Top Secret clearance is required; TS/SCI is preferred.
• Experience with high-performance computing and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems across multiple technologies.
• Ability to work on-site five days a week at the Vicksburg, Mississippi customer location and participate in on-call support.
