Senior Financial Planner - CIRO-ID

Location: S.Edmonton Banking Centre, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; flexibility to work at multiple banking centres within a reasonable travel distance. The role includes banking centre hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with the portion of on-site and remote work discussed during the interview.

What you will do

• Manage and grow a complex client portfolio through relationship management and exceptional client service.
• Create comprehensive financial plans covering investments, retirement, credit, home ownership, and business needs.
• Provide trusted investment advice and develop personalized solutions that strengthen client relationships and referrals.
• Build a local network, identify market opportunities, and create sales plans that convert leads into clients.
• Coach and mentor a team of advisors while supporting informed, client-focused decisions.

Requirements

• Postsecondary degree or diploma and/or four years of relevant experience.
• Current CIRO-ID accreditation and good standing for Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization Investment Dealer licensing.
• Strong experience in financial advising, investments, lending, portfolio management, client service, and business development.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing diverse, high-performing teams.
• Legal eligibility to work at the specified Canadian location; a valid work or study permit is required where applicable.
• Flexibility to work banking centre hours, including possible evenings and weekends, and to travel to nearby banking centres.

Nice to have

• For Quebec licensing: current AMF accreditation and good standing, CIFC or CSC completion, and Registered Retirement Consultant certification.
• CSI/ICB Investment and Taxation Fundamentals Course - Quebec (0774).
• CSI/ICB Legal & Ethical Aspects of Financial Planning Course (0790).
