Equity Program Manager (Finance)

Location: On-site in San Mateo, California, United States

Salary: $132,000–$204,000 per year, plus bonus, benefits, and equity for regular employees.

What you will do

• Administer global equity compensation plans covering stock options, RSUs, and other share-based awards.
• Maintain equity tracking systems, cap tables, and accurate award records.
• Manage grants, vesting, exercises, terminations, and other equity transactions.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and support financial reporting, audits, and equity-related disclosures.
• Coordinate with Finance, Legal, HR, and Payroll teams.
• Respond to employee equity inquiries and improve related processes, controls, and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in equity compensation, stock plan administration, or a related area.
• Strong knowledge of equity compensation regulations and tax implications.
• Experience with equity management platforms such as Carta, Shareworks, or Equity Edge.
• Advanced Excel and data management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.

Nice to have

• Certified Equity Professional (CEP) designation.
• Experience in a public company or pre-IPO environment.
• Familiarity with global equity plans and cross-border compliance.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
