GSO - RF Technician (RF)

Location: Englewood, Colorado; remote within the United States, excluding North Dakota, Vermont, and Rhode Island. This is a site-based hybrid role requiring work from a hirify.global office or work location at least 60% of the standard five-day workweek.

Salary: $26.44–$41.83 per hour. For specific work locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $32.93–$49.28 per hour.

What you will do

• Operate, manage, monitor, install, troubleshoot, and optimize RF systems at satellite Earth stations.
• Perform preventive maintenance on RF hardware and document corrective actions.
• Coordinate external partners, site visits, parts logistics, vendors, and contractors.
• Provide technical escalation and troubleshooting guidance to remote contractors and internal or external teams.
• Validate hardware communications and alarm testing for new site installations, track issues, and escalate resolutions.
• Support engineers with hardware audits, retrofit installations, data gathering, and obsolete hardware replacement projects.

Requirements

• US citizenship required.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with or knowledge of uplink/downlink gateway Earth stations, RF systems, antenna systems, monitor and control systems, and associated hardware.
• Familiarity with spectrum analyzers, RF power meters, and signal generators.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule, including required rotational night shifts.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of HVAC, ATS, generators, and UPS equipment.
• Associate degree or higher.
• Basic networking experience.
